2. Overview
This website is purely informational. There is no contact form, no newsletter, no user accounts and no analytics or advertising services. The website sets no cookies and stores no data in your browser. Fonts and icons are hosted on our own server, and no third-party content is loaded when you open a page. The only exception is Google Maps, which loads only after you click (section 5).
3. Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted by World4You Internet Services GmbH, Wolfgang-Pauli-Straße 2, BT3, 4020 Linz, Austria. World4You processes the data on our behalf as a processor.
Each time the website is accessed, the server automatically stores the following in log files:
- IP address of the device
- date and time of access
- page or file requested, status code and amount of data transferred
- the website you came from (referrer)
- browser and operating system (user agent)
The purpose is to deliver the website and to keep the server secure and stable, for example by detecting and blocking attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are deleted automatically after 14 days. The hosting provider also uses this data to create aggregated access statistics (page views, referring sites, browser types).
4. Contact by phone, email or WhatsApp
When you call us, send an email or contact us on WhatsApp, for example to book a table, we process the details you give us (name, phone number, email address, date, time and party size of the booking, content of your message). We use this data only to handle your request or booking. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract or pre-contractual steps), and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general enquiries. We delete the data once the request has been dealt with, unless we are required by law to keep it.
The WhatsApp link opens the WhatsApp app or website. From that point, WhatsApp Ireland Limited processes your data under its own terms, which may include a transfer to the USA: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea.
5. Google Maps (only after a click)
On the contact page you can display a map from Google Maps. The map loads only when you click "Show map". Once you click, data such as your IP address, browser information and the page you are on is sent to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google may set cookies and transfer data to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent given by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Until you click, no connection to Google is made. More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
The "Open in Google Maps" link and the link to our Google reviews lead directly to Google. Only then does Google process your data.
6. Online ordering
The "Order online" button leads to the ordering page of our provider GloriaFood (foodbooking.com, an Oracle service). No script is loaded on our website for this. On the ordering page your order data (name, phone number, email, delivery address, items ordered, payment method) is processed so that we can prepare your order and deliver it or have it ready for pickup. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We keep order data for as long as tax and commercial retention rules require (generally 7 years under § 132 BAO). The provider's privacy information: https://www.oracle.com/legal/privacy/oracle-restaurants-estore-privacy-policy/.
7. Links to social networks and review sites
We link to our pages on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Tripadvisor. These are plain links, not embedded plugins. No data is sent to these providers when you visit our website. Only when you click a link do the privacy terms of that provider apply.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). To do so, write to office@donaudelta.at. We reply within one month.
If you believe that the processing of your data breaches data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde): Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
9. Data security
The connection to this website is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS), shown by the padlock in your browser's address bar.
